For the Missouri American Water Co. Central Plant Process Water Diversion project, Tarlton installed a system to automatically analyze and restore the proper pH level to water or water treatment residuals before it is returned to the Missouri River.
Work consisted of constructing two valve vaults each measuring 20 feet long, 20 feet wide and 15 feet deep, along with associated 24-inch process water diversion piping. The team also installed rate-of-flow valves on the existing 42-inch raw water lines to Basins A and B.
Additional work included relocating existing carbon dioxide tanks and instrumentation, chemical feed lines and electrical duct banks from the new valve vaults to the existing dechlorination building.
