Tarlton provided preconstruction and construction management services for BJC HealthCare’s window replacement project at Christian Hospital Northeast. The team removed all existing windows and associated lath/plaster on Floors 3-11 in the main tower, replacing them with an insulated, pre-glazed window wall system. All plaster was repaired, patched and painted, and new Corian window sills were installed at each window location.
The team removed a courtyard window and replaced it with a new insulated curtainwall system, also installing new fixed louvers at the east elevation of the building, new lighting throughout the east stairwell, and fixed podium windows through the south elevation of the building on Floors 1 and 2.
To avoid disruptions in the operational building, Tarlton used the STARC Wall System with HEPA Air Machines to quarantine construction during each phase of work. This helped contain all construction activities and allowed hospital staff on each floor to provide ongoing patient care during the project.
