This 2-level, 350-car parking structure provides additional, much-needed parking on the university’s South Campus.
Tarlton built the garage on a steeply sloping site adjacent to the MetroLink line, which presented significant safety risks and restricted placement of equipment. The work included pedestrian bridges spanning perimeter channels and pools that mitigate storm water runoff. A small plaza connects the garage with the College of Nursing building across the street.
The concrete work involved a 5.5-inch slab on grade, with a 6.5-inch deck. The project won a 2008 Quality Concrete Award.
