The M/WBE joint venture of Tarlton and Interface Construction provided Construction Management services for expansion of Barnes-Jewish Hospital outpatient services, bringing primary and specialty care clinics
from five separate sites on the medical center campus to one central location.
The 322,000 sf Barnes-Jewish Center for Outpatient Health, at the northwest corner of Forest Park and Euclid avenues, is LEED registered. The 12-story building welcomes visitors via a lobby on the 1st floor, with clinics on three dedicated lower floors, and medical and administrative office space on the higher floors. The building will also house ground-level retail space.
A pedestrian bridge on the 4th level links the building to the adjacent parking garage and also to the medical center campus by way of the pedestrian bridge across Forest Park Avenue.
The project was a finalist for a 2012 Keystone Award, sponsored by the AGC of St. Louis, and winner of a Construction Industry Best Practices Award for Constructability from the St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers.
