Nordstrom Inc. has tapped St. Louis-based general contracting and construction management firm Tarlton Corp. to complete Missouri's first Nordstrom Rack store. Construction of the Nordstrom Rack at Brentwood Square began April 12, 2010, at the shopping center, where Tarlton is fitting out a 34,000-square-foot interior space.
Looking ahead, Tarlton will manage construction of the full-line Nordstrom store at the Saint Louis Galleria, scheduled to open September 23, 2011. Tarlton built the Seattle-based retailer's first store in Missouri, the Nordstrom West County Center store, which opened in Des Peres in 2002.
Under the leadership of Tarlton President Tracy Hart, Tarlton's team for the Nordstrom Rack project comprises Matt Pfund, project director; Jeff Freese, project manager; Lindsey Garber, project engineer; John Gasperoni, project superintendent; and Stacey Madsen, project assistant.
Tarlton has a long history of retail projects in St. Louis, including construction of the St. Louis Centre and Famous Barr in North County, as well as renovations in the Railway Exchange Building in downtown St. Louis and in several area shopping centers such as Northwest Plaza, Crestwood Plaza, Jamestown mall and Chesterfield Mall. |
