The American Subcontractors Association Midwest Council named Tarlton the year's Best General Contractor among companies with gross revenues exceeding $50 million .

Contractors are nominated and voted on annually by ASA Midwest Council members, with all voting kept confidential until the awards ceremony, held this year at the Hilton Ballpark on April 10. Award criteria include bid ethics practices, safety policies and practices, jobsite supervision, communication, scheduling coordination, project relations, administrative procedures and quality workmanship. 

"It's always an honor to be at the top of your industry," said Talrton chief operating officer Dirk Elsperman, who accepted the award on the company's behalf. "This is an especially gratifying award because it is companywide rather than project-specific, encompassing everything from estimating, planning and building to financial operations, safety and overall company ethics.

"This is a true team award, reflecting the efforts everyone at Tarlton puts in every day to ensure project success for our clients and working partners," added Elsperman.

This is the second time Tarlton has won the award, with nominations coming every year but one since the award's inception.
